CARE FIRST RECRUITMENT LTD currently requires Drivers (Minibus) in Sandy. Successful candidates will potentially have the opportunity to work permanently with the local authority.
Pay: £14 to £18 per hour
HOURS: 35 per week. Monday to Friday.
JOB PURPOSE:
- To act as a driver, supporting and assisting service users on the journey to and from care centres/schools and other locations.
- To work as part of a large team of drivers and passenger assistants based at a centralised depot (DUNSTABLE) under the day-to-day management of Transport Officers.
- To assist service users on vehicles and ensure their safety whilst getting on or off the vehicle and on the journey.
- To assist customers onto and off the vehicle, by means of a tail-lift where necessary, this will include handling wheelchairs and other aids to daily living.
- This will also involve collecting and returning customers from their homes to the vehicle, thus providing a door-to-door service.
- To ensure the physical, mental, and social well-being of customers whilst on the vehicle.
MUST hold a D1, PCV licence or Taxi License and have a caring nature.
