At Care Fertility Manchester, we’re looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our passionate embryology team - a role where your attention to detail and commitment to quality will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care.
About The Role
As a Laboratory Technician, you’ll support our Clinical Scientists in delivering safe, high-quality laboratory services. Your work will directly contribute to life-changing outcomes for our patients.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting routine laboratory procedures, including diagnostic semen analysis
- Preparing laboratory equipment, media and materials using aseptic techniques
- Maintaining accurate records and patient data in line with strict regulatory standards
- Monitoring laboratory equipment, stock levels and consumables
- Supporting quality, audit and compliance processes (HFEA, UKAS, SOPs)
- Assisting with coordination between laboratory, clinical teams and external partners
- Contributing to a clean, safe and well-organised laboratory environment
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and committed to quality. You’ll ideally have:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and databases)
- Experience in an administrative or clinical support role
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in a healthcare or laboratory environment is desirable but not essential.
