At Care Fertility Manchester, we’re looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our passionate embryology team - a role where your attention to detail and commitment to quality will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care.

About The Role

As a Laboratory Technician, you’ll support our Clinical Scientists in delivering safe, high-quality laboratory services. Your work will directly contribute to life-changing outcomes for our patients.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting routine laboratory procedures, including diagnostic semen analysis
  • Preparing laboratory equipment, media and materials using aseptic techniques
  • Maintaining accurate records and patient data in line with strict regulatory standards
  • Monitoring laboratory equipment, stock levels and consumables
  • Supporting quality, audit and compliance processes (HFEA, UKAS, SOPs)
  • Assisting with coordination between laboratory, clinical teams and external partners
  • Contributing to a clean, safe and well-organised laboratory environment

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and committed to quality. You’ll ideally have:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and databases)
  • Experience in an administrative or clinical support role
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in a healthcare or laboratory environment is desirable but not essential.
