We will be delivering the Connect to Work programme which is aimed at supporting people aged 18+ to achieve paid employment using the Supported Employment Quality Framework model.

This work sits within the Wider Determinants of Health team and supports the development and implementation of work linking to the Council’s Public Health strategy. Reporting to the Team Manager, the Compliance Officer will support the effective and high-quality delivery of the Connect to Work programme by ensuring compliance with internal policies, external quality frameworks, and contractual requirements.

The post holder will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, monitoring service standards, and supporting continuous improvement across the service by:

  • Supporting the monitoring and auditing of service delivery against Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF), funder requirements, and internal policies.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant records across service databases and case management systems, ensuring adherence to GDPR and data protection requirements.
  • Supporting the collection, tracking, and reporting of performance data, KPIs, and outcomes to managers and external funders.
  • Assisting with the coordination of audits, inspections, and quality assurance activity, including preparing documentation and responding to information requests.
  • Supporting referral tracking and allocation processes to ensure timely progression and clear audit trails.
  • Ensuring the accurate collection, validation, and audit-ready storage of data and evidence required to support financial claims and reporting to funders.
  • Producing and maintaining spreadsheets, reports, and documentation to support service monitoring and operational oversight.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external partners to support effective information sharing and compliance with agreed protocols.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working in an administrative, compliance, or quality assurance role within a health, social care, or employment support environment.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of data protection, safeguarding, and compliance requirements within public-facing services.
  • Be confident using CRM or management information systems to record, monitor, and report service activity accurately.
  • Possess strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Have effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling them to work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a strong level of IT literacy, including proficient use of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook, alongside the ability to maintain shared digital filing systems.
  • Be able to work independently with appropriate supervision, while contributing positively as part of a wider team.

The post holder will be expected to work from home and travel when needed to meetings and other events. Some travel across other areas of Derbyshire may also be required from time to time.

Important Fixed-term Contract Information: These are fixed-term posts funded specifically to deliver the Connect to Work programme. Appointments will be made on a fixed-term basis for up to 4 years, aligned to the duration of the project and the availability of project funding. While postholders will commence employment at the same time, individual contracts may end at different points during the project lifecycle as funding reduces or delivery phases conclude.

The roles exist solely to deliver this defined project and are not part of the organisation’s ongoing, permanent staffing structure. Employment will therefore come to an end when the role’s project funding ceases or the project concludes.
