Are you passionate about food, service, and creating memorable dining experiences? The Grange at Buckshaw Retirement Village is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Catering & Hospitality Manager to lead our kitchen and front-of-house teams.

You’ll be responsible for delivering a 5-star dining experience across our vibrant village, managing both people and performance to meet high standards and resident satisfaction.

Location: Buckshaw Retirement Village, between Leyland & Chorley
Starting Salary: £29,000, increasing to £31,000 following successful probation
Hours: 38.5 per week, rota-based (including alternate weekends)

The Role:

We’re looking for a friendly, experienced, and reliable individual to lead our catering and hospitality services at The Grange, part of Buckshaw Retirement Village (between Leyland & Chorley).

As Catering & Hospitality Manager, you’ll oversee both front and back-of-house operations, ensuring a 5-star dining experience for our residents. You’ll manage multiple teams, maintain high standards, and work closely with other departments to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage catering and hospitality teams across the site.
Deliver a high-quality dining experience in line with HICA standards.
Oversee menu planning, costings, stock control, and supplier management.
Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and HACCP standards.
Support wellbeing events and create bespoke dining experiences.
Conduct audits, manage KPIs, and implement action plans.
Supervise, train, and develop staff, including apprentices.
Maintain cleanliness, equipment, and supplies across all dining areas.
Provide hands-on support during busy periods or staff absence.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a leadership role, and brings both professionalism and personality to the table…..

City & Guilds 706/2 or equivalent
Level 3 Leadership & Management qualification or equivalent
Food Hygiene Level 2 or above
Proven experience in catering and hospitality
Confident managing both kitchen and front-of-house operations
Computer literate
Smart, professional, and approachable
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Empathetic and charismatic with a hands-on approach.
