Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook and serve meals and snacks in accordance with the menus provided.
- Prepare food in accordance with menus approved.
- Assist in the preparation and handling of external meals, including pre-packed frozen meals for meals-on-wheels delivery and production of meals for other units.
- Check deliveries for quality, quantity and description where appropriate.
- Ensure correct and economical use of materials and equipment to achieve maximum cost efficiency, quality and safety.
- Clean kitchen areas and equipment to Environmental Health standards.
- Ensure all equipment is kept in efficient working order.
