  • £12.86-£13.08 per hour
  • Shifts - Monday - Friday 8:30 - 10:15 and 15:30 - 17:15

About The Role

The Passenger Assistant will need to accompany adults with additional needs to and from their home, whilst being transported on the day service bus. No qualification required but a friendly and supportive disposition is vital. Full paid 4 day induction will be given as well as additional training appropriate to the role.

Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the care and conduct of any people we support being transported to/from any service provision and ensuring they are at all times properly and safely supervised.
  • Assist people we support alighting/boarding vehicles, leaving the vehicle only to enable them to access or exit their destination.
  • Ensure a comprehensive handover of people we support on arrival at their destination, where appropriate and where required.
  • Ensure all passengers are safely seated within current guidelines laid down by the organisation and current Road Safety legislation.
  • Report any incidents/unusual occurrences to the appropriate manager.
  • Act as a link between the service provider and home as requested with regard to passing appropriate information and messages, both verbal and written.
  • Ensure that any personal items belonging to people we support are securely transported with that individual when necessary.
  • Maintain an accurate register of people we support.
