Overview
Care Team Leader – Castleman House (£1000 WELCOME BONUS) at Care Dorset UK. Location: Castleman House, Salisbury Road, Blandford Forum.

The Role
You will join a longstanding team of committed colleagues working in a person-centred way to meet the needs of the people we support. You will work within Care Dorset’s Community Care Strategy for Residential and Day Care Services to provide a wide range of support and opportunities to maintain and promote independence and quality of life for service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the delivery of services to people we support within the residential care home.
- Undertake the assessment of the needs of the people we support in accordance with policies and procedures with involvement of other professionals and families as appropriate.
- Develop care plans and individual service plans for approval by senior staff. Implement, monitor and review care plans.
- Supervision of individual and group programmes/courses.
- Development of individual and group programmes to meet specific objectives within care plans as appropriate.
- Maintain service user records and contribute to other establishment records, as required.
- Work within the Gold Standards Framework.

Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or similar setting.
- Knowledge and application of relevant legislation (e.g., Care Standards Act 2000, Community Care Act 1991).
- Knowledge of the risk assessment process
- Knowledge of care and support planning processes
- Demonstrable supervisory/management experience
- Experience of care planning and review process
- Experience of undertaking risk assessments and their application and review
- Experience of applying anti-discriminatory practice
- Ability to relate to a wide range of people and understand their needs
The Successful Candidate Should Have
- Awareness of Community Care legislation
- Understanding of Health & Safety
- Team player with strong communication skills
- NVQ Level 2 Care qualification or equivalent as a minimum
