Prepare, cook and serve meals and snacks in accordance with the menus provided.
Prepare food in accordance with menus approved.
Assist in the preparation and handling of external meals, including pre-packed frozen meals for meals‑on‑wheels delivery and production of meals for other units.
Check deliveries for quality, quantity and description where appropriate.
Ensure correct and economical use of materials and equipment to achieve maximum cost efficiency, quality and safety.
Clean kitchen areas and equipment to Environmental Health standards.
Ensure all equipment is kept in efficient working order.
