The predicted salary is between 13 - 13 £ per hour.
This role will form part of our established Supported Living Transition services, which supports young adults with a learning disability and/or autism who are moving from the family home into their own accommodation. The service focuses on enabling individuals to develop the skills, confidence and resilience required to live as independently as possible.
Support workers provide person-centred support across all aspects of daily living. This includes developing practical life skills such as meal planning, shopping and cooking, as well as supporting individuals to understand finances and budgeting. The role also involves providing emotional support and guidance to help individuals navigate the challenges and transitions associated with increased independence.
About you:
- Previous experience as a support worker or in a similar role is preferred but not essential as training and ongoing support will be provided.
- A compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full driving license and access to own vehicle for work purposes is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible to work various shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays.
