We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in the Care industry. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to service users, helping them achieve their best day to day experiences.
In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the comfort and well-being of service users. You will assist with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Additionally, you will provide emotional support and companionship to them, helping to alleviate any anxiety or stress they may be experiencing.
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to establish rapport. You must also be compassionate, empathetic, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
Responsibilities
Assisting with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Providing support with mobility and ambulation, also assistance with using equipment to transfer clients.
Monitoring clients physical and mental health, reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
Supporting users with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, eating, and drinking.
Providing emotional support and companionship, engaging in meaningful conversations and activities.
Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, including bed-making and keeping clients rooms tidy.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Competency based checks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with patients and their families.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others.
