Trainee Care Assistant Care and Support – Hallhouse Care Home Contract:

Located in the peaceful village of Fenwick, East Ayrshire, our care home provides high-quality Residential, Nursing, and Respite care for up to 47 residents. With an impressive carehome rating of 9.9 and Care Inspectorate grades of , and 5, we are dedicated to delivering compassionate, person-centred care in a warm and welcoming environment.

Now, we are looking for trainee Care Assistants – people who might never have worked in care before but feel drawn to it. Whether you\’re returning to work, changing careers, or looking for purpose in your next role, we\’re here to support you every step of the way.

What We Offer:

  • Β£12.70 per hour
  • Contracted or flexible hours – up to 44 hours per week
  • Paid PVG, uniform and onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on full-time contract)

  • Four-week shadowing and induction with a dedicated buddy
  • Daily support from team leaders and clinical staff

Your Role:

You\’ll work alongside experienced carers, learning how to support residents with personal care, mobility, mealtimes and companionship. You\’ll build confidence through shadowing, regular catch-ups, and ongoing guidance. It\’s not just about tasks – it\’s about building relationships, bringing comfort, and being there for someone when it matters most.
