As a Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs and long term conditions. You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring safe, effective and person‑centred care at all times. Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your clinical judgement to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, structured and supportive environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health.
- Lead shifts, support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring safe, effective and person‑centred care.
- Work closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, use clinical judgement to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, structured and supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN
- Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
- Confidence leading shifts and supporting a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in complex care or mental health is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment.
Contract and Compensation
- Contract: Maternity Cover
- Salary: £23.92 per hour
- Shift Type: Nights (20:00PM - 08:00AM)
- Contracted hours: 36 per week
- Temporary Contract for 36 hours per week
- Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
- Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.
