Aspen Court Nursing & Dementia Nursing Home is a modern, purpose-built home in the peaceful northern outskirts of Taunton, offering high-quality Dementia and Nursing care for up to 42 residents.

We are looking for compassionate, dedicated nurses who will lead with clinical excellence and holistic care, upholding dignity and respect for every resident.

What You’ll Do
  • Craft personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ensure accuracy of care documentation; maintain compliance with legal requirements
  • Lead with confidence: organise and guide the care team each shift
  • Manage shift handovers to ensure clear communication and continuity of care
  • Monitor health: perform routine observations and address health needs with attention to safety
  • Administer medications safely, adhering to MAR sheets and protocols
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Promote independence by supporting residents in daily activities while providing appropriate assistance
  • Respond to feedback and prioritise resident health and well-being
  • Uphold dignity and individuality of residents; advocate for their needs and preferences
  • Encourage engagement and social activities to enhance quality of life
  • Maintain safety and a secure environment
  • Support nutrition and hydration; monitor for weight changes or dehydration
  • Respond effectively to emergencies; participate in on-call systems as required
About You
  • You’re a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN
  • Care home experience is a plus, but passion for care and improving residents’ lives is essential
  • Natural ability to connect with residents, families, and colleagues; warm, understanding, and calm demeanour
  • Strong communication skills with clarity, empathy, and respect in all interactions
