Location: Watford House Care Home, High Peak (Watford House is a 36-bed care home offering Residential, Dementia, and Respite care)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at Watford House. This role offers an opportunity to lead by example and make a real impact in the lives of residents.

Your Role

As Senior Care Assistant, you will lead and support your care team to deliver person‑centred care with kindness and professionalism. You will manage shift coordination, medication administration, and care documentation while ensuring residents’ dignity, independence and well‑being are always prioritised.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the care team and model person‑centred care
  • Coordinate shift duties and ensure effective communication across the team
  • Administer medication safely and maintain accurate documentation

Qualifications & Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 3 preferred or working towards it)
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a Senior Care Assistant role
  • Practical medication training with up‑to‑date competencies
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
