Overview

Our luxury care home is situated in the beautiful, historic town of Sale, offering Residential, Dementia & Respite care for 72 residents. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse who can deliver clinical excellence and holistic care, while leading and supporting the team in delivering dignified, person-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Craft Personalized Care Plans: Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to design and implement care plans that are unique to each individual.
  • Ensure Accuracy: Observe daily interactions and conditions, ensuring all care documentation is precise, compliant with legal requirements, and easily understood by the team.
  • Lead with Confidence: Organize and guide the team each shift, ensuring roles are clear and care is delivered to a high standard.
  • Facilitate Seamless Transitions: Oversee shift handovers to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
  • Monitor Health: Perform routine observations and manage specific health needs with attention to detail and safety.
  • Administer Medications: Safely manage and administer medications, adhering to MAR sheets and protocols.
  • Build Relationships: Foster strong, trusting relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals, addressing concerns with empathy and urgency.
  • Promote Independence: Support residents in daily activities, encouraging autonomy while providing hands-on assistance as needed.
  • Act on Feedback: Be responsive to team input to prioritise resident health and well-being.
  • Champion Respect: Uphold the dignity and individuality of every resident, advocating for their needs and preferences.
  • Encourage Engagement: Facilitate social interactions and activities, enriching residents’ lives and creating a vibrant community.
  • Prioritize Safety: Maintain a vigilant eye on health and safety in the home environment.
  • Support Nutrition: Advocate for balanced nutrition and hydration and monitor residents at risk of weight changes or dehydration.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Act swiftly in emergencies, using the on-call system and reflective practices to improve care continually.

Qualifications

You are a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC PIN. Care home experience is a plus, but passion for care and dedication to resident wellbeing are what matter most. You have a natural ability to connect with people — residents, families, and colleagues — bringing warmth, understanding, and a calm, patient demeanour to every interaction. Strong communication skills: you articulate needs clearly to residents, families, and care teams with empathy and respect.
