We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our brand-new, purpose-built luxury care home in the picturesque seaside town of Largs. This state-of-the-art facility, opening soon, will provide exceptional residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care for up to 80 residents.
As a vital part of our clinical team, you’ll play a central role in shaping a positive, person-centred culture from the very beginning. Supported by strong clinical leadership, including our Home Manager who holds the prestigious Queen’s Nurse distinction, you will help establish high standards of care and contribute to a compassionate, forward-thinking environment.
What We Offer
- £21.84 per hour
- Full time & Part time hours available – various flexiable shifts
- Shift Times: 7:45 AM – 8:00 PM (long day), 7:45 AM – 2:00 PM (half day)
- Additional benefits: Paid NMC fees, pension, paid PVG, free onsite parking, uniform provided, and 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

What You Will Do
- Craft personalised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Maintain clear, legal, and accurate care documentation
- Lead your team at the start of each shift, ensuring roles and responsibilities are understood
- Oversee shift handovers to ensure continuity and consistency of care
- Conduct routine health observations and manage specific health needs
- Administer medications safely and in line with EMAR and best practices
- Build strong, trusting relationships with residents and their families
- Support daily living activities that promote independence and dignity
- Advocate for resident preferences and individual needs
- Encourage resident engagement and facilitate social activities
- Maintain a vigilant approach to health and safety
- Monitor nutrition and hydration, especially for residents at risk
- Respond confidently to emergencies and reflect on practice to improve care
- What We’re Looking For
- Registered General or Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN
- Ideally 2 years’ experience in a care home setting
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to person-centred care
- Leadership ability with a collaborative and empathetic approach
- Familiarity with electronic care planning and EMAR systems is desirable
