About The RoleSupporting a portfolio of 10 care homes across Edinburgh, Midlothian and Lothian, this role offers both scale and variety, spanning a mix of well-established, high-performing services alongside newer and developing homes. The region demonstrates consistently strong quality outcomes, with homes recognised for positive Care Inspectorate performance and high levels of resident satisfaction.

This breadth creates a dynamic and rewarding environment, where the focus is on sustaining excellence in established homes while continuing to embed standards, strengthen performance, and build momentum in others. The result is a balanced portfolio with clear opportunity to drive consistency, elevate quality, and support each service in reaching its full potential.

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will act as a trusted partner to Home Managers, providing hands‐on support, strategic guidance, and leadership across all aspects of care, compliance, and commercial performance. You will be a consistent and credible presence across the region; someone who leads from the front, brings clarity to complexity, and drives meaningful, lasting improvement.

The OpportunityThis is a role where a significant and lasting impact can be made across the region. The position centres on leading, coaching, and developing Home Managers and senior teams to deliver consistently high standards of care and performance, while strengthening clinical governance, compliance, and overall quality across all homes.

A key focus will be supporting performance improvement and turnaround activity where required, alongside driving occupancy, financial performance, and sustainable growth.

Success in the role will involve embedding a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement, while building strong and trusted relationships with residents, families, regulators, and wider stakeholders. With a clear commitment to person‐centred care, the role ensures that every resident experience reflects excellence. Balancing quality with commercial awareness, the position plays a critical role in ensuring that decision‐making supports both resident wellbeing and long‐term organisational success.

About YouAn experienced and credible leader, confident in influencing at every level and driving high performance across multiple services. A strong track record as a successful Registered Home Manager is essential, with multi‐site experience advantageous. A nursing qualification (RGN/RMN) is preferred, alongside a solid understanding of Care Inspectorate standards and regulatory frameworks.

Experience in improving quality, stabilising services, and delivering measurable results is key, supported by the ability to lead through others—coaching, challenging, and inspiring teams to perform at their best. Strong commercial awareness is equally important, with a proven ability to manage budgets, drive occupancy, and deliver operational performance.

A visible, decisive, and values‐led approach is critical, with the judgement and confidence to step in, take ownership, and lead from the front when it matters most.
