Night Clinical Lead Nurse – Mayflower Care Home, Northfleet (DA11 7DX)
Up to £55,000 per annum (pro‑rated for 6 months). 6‑month fixed term. Immediate start.
Responsibilities
Provide hands‑on clinical leadership across the home. Support the nursing team on the floor, guide decision‑making, and ensure safe, high‑quality care is delivered daily. Bring stability, visibility and strong clinical direction to the service.
- Maintain clinical competence in core nursing practices (wound care, dressings, fundamentals of care).
- Lead and support the nursing team as a visible, approachable presence on the floor.
- Act as a go‑to person for advice, support, and decision‑making.
- Identify and address risks and areas for improvement proactively.
- Ensure medication safety and compliance.
- Model and embed high standards, demonstrating what good care looks like.
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
- Solid clinical background with fundamentals.
- Experience in a senior nursing or clinical leadership role within a care‑home setting.
- Confidence as a visible and approachable leader who leads by example.
- Comfortable working in a service requiring stability, structure, and direction.
- Proactive, calm under pressure, able to build trust quickly with teams and stakeholders.
