At Springvale Care Home, we\’re looking for a Night Shift Manager who is not only clinically skilled, but also a natural leader someone who thrives on responsibility, motivates others, and ensures our residents receive the very best care every night.

This is more than a night role, it\’s about making a real difference when it matters most.

Your Responsibilities

As Night Shift Manager, you will oversee the running of all four units at Springvale. You\’ll be the senior decision-maker on shift, directing and supporting nurses, senior carers and carers, ensuring residents feel safe, supported, and cared for with compassion.

Lead the Clinical Team: Meet residents\’ medical, physical, and emotional needs by leading with skill and kindness.

Ensure Compliance: Uphold our clinical governance framework and maintain the highest standards of care at all times.

Motivate & Mentor: Supervise, guide and inspire colleagues-helping them achieve their learning objectives and grow in confidence.

Provide Leadership: Be the point of authority throughout the night, stepping in where needed and ensuring smooth, safe operations.

Resident Support: Act as a named Nurse, providing attentive, personalised care for residents with varying needs and complexities.

Drive Excellence: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, setting a high standard for clinical practice across the home.

About You

We\’re looking for a confident, proactive leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care.

  • NMC Registered Nurse with a valid PIN
  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making ability
  • Previous leadership experience, with the confidence to manage teams
  • A supportive mentor, keen to develop colleagues and bring out their best
  • Experience working with older people is an advantage, though not essential
  • Ready to step in for the Home Manager when required
