Located in the picturesque and historic area of South Lanarkshire, Bothwell Castle Care Home provides high-quality Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for up to 75 residents. Set within a beautiful environment and a warm, inclusive culture, our home offers a truly rewarding place to work.
We are looking for caring, reliable and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team and help us make a real difference in the lives of our residents. Whether you are experienced or new to care, if you have the right values and passion, we would love to hear from you.
What We Offer
- £12.70 per hour
- £500 Welcome Bonus (£250 after 3 months, £250 after 6 months) – terms apply
- Full-time or part-time contracts, days or nights (8AM–8PM or 8PM–8AM)
- Support to complete SVQ2 in Health and Social Care
- Refer a Friend bonus, Friday Funday, and wellbeing support (EAP)
- Paid PVG, uniform, pension, onsite parking
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on full-time contract)
What You Will Do
You will be part of a close-knit, supportive care team providing person-centred care that promotes dignity, comfort, and wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with personal care, mobility, meals, hydration, and daily routines. You will help residents maintain their independence and engage socially, supporting a homely and nurturing atmosphere.
You will work closely with senior carers and nurses, following care plans and reporting any concerns to ensure the best possible support is provided. Every small act of kindness you offer will contribute to something much greater in our residents’ lives.
