Located in the heart of the new Greenlaw Mains community in Penicuik, Glencorse Care Home is a purpose-built, luxury care home set to open soon. Designed with comfort, dignity, and wellbeing in mind, it will provide high-quality Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for up to 54 residents in beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms.

What We Offer- £12.70 per hour
- Full-time and part-time contracts available
- Night shifts: 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
- Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided, free onsite parking
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

As a Care Assistant, you will support our residents with all aspects of daily life - including personal care, meals, mobility, and meaningful companionship. You will follow individual care plans, promote dignity and independence, and help create a positive, person-centred environment from the very beginning. Whether it is helping someone start their day, assisting with a favourite activity, or simply sharing a moment of conversation, you will be making a real difference every day.
What We’re Looking ForWe welcome applications from both experienced carers and those new to the care sector. What matters most is your compassion, reliability, and enthusiasm to learn.
- SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is preferred but not essential
- A caring, kind-hearted approach and good communication skills
