Glencorse Care Home is a purpose-built care home in Penicuik, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 54 residents. Since opening in November, the home has established an excellent reputation, becoming one of the top-rated care homes in the region on Carehome.co.uk.

Care Assistant

  • Contract: £13.60 per hour
  • Dayshift & nightshift available
  • Shift times: 8:00am to 8:00pm and 8:00pm to 8:00am
  • Two week rolling rota provided in advance, helping you achieve a better work-life balance and plan ahead.
  • Full time, part time and bank contracts available
  • Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
  • Meals provided whilst on shift

Role Overview

As Care Assistant, you will support residents with daily living, including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them maintain dignity, independence and quality of life. Working as part of a supportive team, you will follow care plans, recognise changes in residents' needs and contribute to delivering safe, high quality and person-centred care.

Whether you already have experience in care or are looking for a new career, full training, guidance and ongoing support will be provided to help you build confidence, develop your skills and succeed in the role.
