Glencorse Care Home is a purpose built care home in Penicuik, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 54 residents. Bank Chef Contract

Role Overview
As Bank Chef, you will play an important role in delivering high quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals that are central to daily life within the home. Supporting the kitchen during periods of annual leave, increased occupancy or additional demand, you will help ensure residents receive meals that are tailored to their individual dietary needs and preferences. This is an ideal opportunity for a chef looking for flexibility while remaining part of a supportive and professional kitchen environment. You will support all aspects of food preparation, service, stock control and food hygiene, helping to maintain the high standards residents and families expect. Working alongside the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, you will contribute to a safe, efficient and well organised kitchen where quality, teamwork and resident wellbeing remain the priority.
What We Are Looking For
- City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent, or working towards
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Experience working within a professional kitchen environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience within a care environment is beneficial but not essential
