Immacolata House Dementia Nursing Home in Langport is surrounded by the picturesque Somerset countryside. This purpose-built home offers exceptional Dementia and Nursing care for up to 49 residents.

Contract: £14.00 per hour, contracted to 46 hours per week. Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided. 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract).

Role Overview: As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands-on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate. You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

We Are Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
  • Medication administration training with competency is essential.
  • Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • A caring, compassionate and professional approach.
