Immacolata House Dementia Nursing Home in Langport is surrounded by the picturesque Somerset countryside. This purpose-built home offers exceptional Dementia and Nursing care for up to 49 residents.

At Immacolata House, we provide exceptional dementia and nursing care for up to 49 residents, many with complex needs, and as a recognised dementia specialist, we believe every day should be filled with laughter, purpose, and meaningful engagement.

Bring Joy, Creativity, and Connection to Life at Immacolata House! We’re looking for a passionate Activities Coordinator who will bring creativity, energy, and warmth to our home, designing and delivering activities that spark joy, foster connection, and enrich the lives of our residents inside the home, outdoors in our beautiful grounds, on our mini-bus outings, and even on our mini-farm where alpacas, geese, chinchillas, rabbits, and tortoises help bring smiles through pet therapy.

Contract Details:

  • £12.21 per hour
  • Full-time hours: 37.5 per week
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro-rata)
  • Enhanced rates for Overtime & Bank Holidays (T&C's apply)

Your Role:

You will plan and deliver dementia-friendly monthly programmes, facilitate one-to-one and group activities, support hobbies and new experiences, take residents on mini-bus outings, and use our expansive grounds and friendly animals to bring joy, engagement, and meaningful connection to every resident, all while building relationships, understanding individual preferences, and keeping accurate records of participation.

  • Dementia care experience and knowledge of supporting residents with varying cognitive abilities.
  • Empathetic, creative, energetic, and full of ideas.
  • Strong planning, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Passionate about enriching the lives of older people through activities, connection, and fun.
