Gowrie House Care Home is located in the heart of Kirkcaldy, a coastal town on the Forth Estuary in East Central Scotland. Our home provides Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 60 residents, offering a warm, supportive and vibrant environment where everyone feels valued and cared for. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and creative Activities Coordinator who truly believes in bringing joy and sunshine into our residents’ lives every day. With a genuine passion for the older generation, we are seeking someone sociable, fun-loving and well-organised. Caring for our residents goes far beyond providing excellent care; it is about creating moments of happiness, laughter and connection. Driven by our dedicated activities team, you will play a key role in ensuring that residents’ days are filled with fun, variety and stimulation. Building strong relationships with residents and understanding their preferences is essential to making this role a success. You will plan inclusive activities that reflect residents’ interests and support their individual care needs, which range from low-level support through to dementia and nursing care.

What We Offer

  • £12.58 per hour
  • Contracted to 24 hours per week
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

What You Will Do

As the Activities Coordinator, you will plan, organise and deliver engaging group and individual activities that promote wellbeing, social interaction and enjoyment. You will encourage residents to maintain their hobbies and explore new interests, fostering a sense of purpose and belonging. You will keep accurate records of activities, communicate effectively with colleagues and families, and contribute to creating a homely, lively atmosphere within the care home.
