Our luxury care home is situated in the beautiful, historic town of Sale, offering Residential, Dementia & Respite care for 72-residents.

We’re looking for a dedicated Hairdresser to join our care home team, where you’ll provide professional hair services that brighten the days of our residents and help them feel pampered and well-cared for. The hours will be Monday 9.00 – 14.00, Wednesday 9.00 – 17.00 and Friday 9.00 – 14.00.

What You’ll Do

  • Hair Services: Provide a range of hair services, including cutting, blow-drying, and washing residents’ hair, ensuring each resident leaves your chair feeling refreshed and confident.
  • Salon Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in the salon area, creating a welcoming and hygienic environment.
  • Equipment Care: Use salon equipment safely and effectively, performing regular maintenance to keep everything in top working order.
  • Policy Adherence: Understand care homes policies and procedures, ensuring work aligns with guidelines.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality regarding residents’ personal information.
  • Ongoing Training: Attend mandatory training and any additional training organized by the Home Manager.
  • Health & Safety: Be knowledgeable about Health & Safety legislation, using PPE and other precautions as required.
  • Chemical Knowledge: Understand proper use of all chemicals in the salon, following manufacturers’ instructions.

  • Proven Hairdressing Skills: Demonstrated experience in hairdressing with a focus on providing exceptional service in a caring environment.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail in hairdressing and maintaining a clean, organized salon.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to build rapport with residents and understand their preferences.
  • Commitment to Care: Compassionate and patient approach with a genuine interest in residents’ well-being.
