Mayflower Care Home is set across three dedicated floors, each tailored to residents' individual needs. The ground floor supports general nursing needs and people living with later-stage dementia. The second floor provides enhanced support for residents who may experience more challenging behaviours, including increased 1:1 time where required. The top floor supports a mix of dementia and mental health needs, caring for residents who may present with more complex, advanced challenges.

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice. You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Nurse RGN or RMN with an active NMC PIN
  • Care home experience essential, mental health training desired
  • Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
  • Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment

Pay and Benefits

  • £24.26 per hour
  • Contracted to 34.5 hours per week
  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
  • Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.
