Set in the historic Victorian town of Fleetwood, Lakelands Lodge is a modern, purpose-built care home for up to 78 residents, delivering high-quality residential, nursing and dementia care. With breathtaking views across a tranquil boating lake and the Irish Sea, our home offers an inspiring environment but it’s our people and standards of care that truly set us apart. Rated Good by the CQC, we are now looking for a clinically credible, confident Deputy Manager to work alongside the Home Manager, ensuring excellence in clinical practice, leadership and resident outcomes.
The Role
As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will be a key leader within the home, providing hands-on clinical oversight while supporting and developing the nursing and care teams. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining regulatory compliance, driving best practice, and supporting continuous improvement. The working hours will be 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, splitting your time with being visible on the floor as well as Supernumerary time in the office. As Deputy Manager you will be part of the on-call rota.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and overseeing clinical care across the home.
- Ensuring safe, effective and person-centred care delivery.
- Supporting nurses and senior carers through coaching and development.
- Maintaining clinical governance, audits and compliance standards.
- Deputising for the Home Manager when required.
- Contributing to inspection readiness and quality assurance.
This is an ideal role for a strong clinical leader who enjoys being visible, supportive and hands-on, while helping a good service become even better.

Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with proven experience in elderly care and a passion for high standards. You’ll bring:

- A proactive mindset focused on quality and continuous improvement.
