Our newly built care home is based in the charming suburb of Pinhoe, Exeter, offering exceptional standards of nursing, residential, dementia and respite care for 67 residents.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and coordinate the care team – ensuring smooth operation and a positive atmosphere.
  • Support residents with dressing, bathing, toileting and mobility, prioritising dignity and independence.
  • Administer medication, manage ordering, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals and team members.
  • Foster team ethos, respect diversity and maintain a supportive working environment.
  • Welcome visitors and give prospective residents and families a tour of the home.
  • Respond promptly to emergency call bells and provide or call for assistance as needed.
  • Write and update care plans, risk assessments and case notes.
  • Engage in staff meetings, training and e‑learning to develop professionally.
  • Follow Health & Safety policies, including COSHH, and report concerns.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or actively working towards Level 3).
  • Medication training: Practical Medication Administration with competency.
  • Leadership skills: Ability to motivate, delegate and develop a team while maintaining support.
  • Compassionate nature: Kind, caring, compassionate personality with a sense of fun and a commitment to person‑centred care.
