Inglewood Nursing Home, located in a pleasant residential area of Eastbourne, provides short and long-term nursing and palliative care for up to 60 residents. Set in charming period-style accommodation with modern facilities, the home offers bright, comfortable rooms with garden views, wheelchair access, and a warm, supportive environment where personalised care and strong relationships with residents and families are prioritised.
As a Care Assistant, you’ll be a key member of our care team to promote the values and ethos of our home and help us achieve an excellent standard of care for our residents. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring residents receive exceptional care and support, helping with daily routines, promoting independence, and prioritising their overall health and happiness.

What You'll Do:
- Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, from getting dressed to staying active, while encouraging independence.
- Personalised Care: Follow and support each resident's personalised care plan with hands-on help and attention to individual needs.
- Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
- Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident in every interaction.
- Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff.
- Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces; respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
- Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Spread Smiles: Bring joy to residents' lives and make them smile every day.
About You:
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
- Experience: Ideally, at least 6 months as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
- Passion: You’re genuinely interested in caring for the elderly and committed to delivering excellent service.
