Ashridge Court Care Centre is a bright, modern care home near Bexhill-on-Sea, set in the East Sussex countryside with sea views and peaceful gardens. The home provides high-quality general nursing care for up to 51 residents in spacious, well-furnished rooms, with compassionate support delivered with dignity, empathy and respect.

Your role:As our Deputy Manager, you will be a key part of the home’s leadership team providing hands-on clinical expertise while also supporting the Home Manager in day-to-day operations. You’ll spend time both on the floor (around 50%) and in a supernumerary capacity, ensuring that every resident receives person-centred, high-quality care.

When the Home Manager is away, you’ll take full responsibility for the running of the service guiding and supporting our talented nurses, carers and support staff, managing rotas, maintaining compliance, and making sure our standards remain second to none.

What you’ll be doing:• Providing strong clinical leadership and mentoring to the team.• Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, medication management, and audits.• Supporting recruitment, inductions, training, and ongoing staff development.• Ensuring compliance with CQC, safeguarding guidelines and company policies.• Leading by example delivering hands-on nursing care when needed.• Building positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals.
