We're looking for a Commissioning Home Manager to lead the opening of Colden Common Care Home, a brand-new premium care home set to open in February 2027.

Colden Common Care Home is a purpose-built 60 bed service designed to deliver exceptional residential, dementia and nursing care within a beautifully designed environment focused on delivering high quality care alongside an exceptional resident experience.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a brand-new care home through every stage of the commissioning journey, from recruitment and operational mobilisation through to occupancy growth, regulatory readiness and long-term operational success. The foundations of this service will be built long before the first resident arrives and you will be leading that journey from day one.

Why Join Care Concern Group?

  • Be part of a fast-growing care organisation with strong long-term progression opportunities.
  • Lead the launch of a significant new care home development with full autonomy to shape the service from the very beginning.
  • Strong operational, commissioning, recruitment and quality support throughout the entire journey.
  • Take ownership of occupancy growth, financial performance and long-term commercial success.

Contract

  • Up to 40% annual bonus linked to KPI achievement
  • Generous commissioning bonus
  • Pension scheme
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave

This role offers full site ownership throughout the commissioning process and requires an experienced leader who understands what it takes to successfully launch a new care home while building a service designed for long-term success.

You will lead all aspects of pre-opening activity including recruitment strategy, onboarding, operational setup, regulatory preparation, local stakeholder engagement and occupancy planning while ensuring the home launches successfully and is positioned as a leading provider within the local market.

From building a values-driven team and embedding company culture through to preparing for CQC registration and establishing strong local reputation, you will take ownership of every stage of the journey.

Lead all commissioning activity prior to opening including recruitment, onboarding, mobilisation and workforce planning.

Drive occupancy growth through local networking, relationship building and establishing strong referral routes.
