Our dedicated team supports up to 40 service users—including those living with dementia or mobility challenges—offering vital care and much-needed respite for families. Care Assistant – DriverBring comfort, connection, and care – and help get residents safely where they need to be.
At our care home, we’re committed to delivering exceptional, person-centred care in a warm and supportive environment. As a Care Assistant (Driver), you’ll be a key member of our team—not only providing hands-on care and support, but also helping transport residents to and from the home using our on-site minibus.
This is a varied and fulfilling role that combines compassionate care with safe, responsible driving. You'll help residents start and end their days with comfort and dignity.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Transporting Residents: Safely drive the home’s minibus to collect and drop off residents for appointments, outings, or daily care.
- Daily Support: Assist residents with their routines—dressing, mobility, personal care—always promoting independence and choice.
- Health Monitoring: Keep an eye on residents' wellbeing, reporting any changes to the nursing team and liaising with families or professionals as needed.
- Maintaining Dignity: Provide kind, respectful care that honours each resident’s individual needs and preferences.
- Creating Community: Help build a warm, inclusive atmosphere by encouraging social engagement and connection.
- Contributing to Clean, Safe Spaces: Work alongside colleagues to maintain a homely, hygienic, and secure environment.
- Mealtime Support: Assist residents who need help with eating or hydration, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Spreading Positivity: Bring joy to everyday interactions—your presence matters.
What We’re Looking For
- Full UK driving licence (essential) – you will be driving the care home’s minibus
- Friendly, confident, and safe behind the wheel
- SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred, but not essential
- Ideally 6+ months’ experience in a care role, though we welcome transferable skills and a strong desire to help others
- Genuine compassion and patience, with a team-focused attitude
