Care Assistant Day and Nights
Location: Rowan Park Care Home, Radstock
Contract: Full Time and Part Time (36 or 48 hours per week)
Salary: £13.25 per hour
Shift Type: Days & Nights Available, alternate weekends
About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to provide high‑quality care and companionship, supporting residents with their daily routines and encouraging independence wherever possible. You will follow personalised care plans, monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, and work closely with the wider care team to create a safe, supportive, and joyful environment.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with daily activities and personal care.
- Follow individual care plans and document observations.
- Monitor resident health and wellbeing, reporting concerns to senior staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety within the care home.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in suitable activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred but not essential.
- Experience in a care setting helpful; transferable skills and genuine desire to care welcomed.
- Warm, kind, patient nature and ability to build trust and strong relationships.
- Interest in supporting older people and working collaboratively as part of a team.
