Barton House Care Home is a specialist 24 hour nursing service supporting 15 adults living with complex mental health conditions. Set within a homely, supportive environment, the home focuses on person centred care, stability and meaningful daily living, with a strong emphasis on wellbeing and individual support.

Care Assistant Contract

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Contracted to 40 hours per week
  • Shift times are: 08:00am - 15:00pm, 15:00pm - 21:00pm, 08:00am-21:00pm
  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided and onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will support adults living with a range of complex mental health conditions, including enduring mental illness such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, acquired brain injuries and the impact of previous drug or alcohol addiction. Your role is to provide safe, consistent and person centred care that promotes dignity, independence, wellbeing and recovery. Working closely with the wider team, you will follow individual care plans and support structured routines, helping to create a calm, stable and supportive environment. You will build positive relationships with residents, understanding their needs and responding appropriately to changes in behaviour or wellbeing. This is a hands on role that requires patience, resilience and a calm approach, supporting both the physical and emotional needs of residents while ensuring care is delivered safely and consistently at all times.
