Meadowvale Care Home is a purpose built care home in Bathgate, West Lothian, providing exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 60 residents. Our home is designed to promote dignity, comfort and quality of life in a welcoming and supportive environment.

The Role

As a Care Assistant working the twilight shift, you will support residents during the evening period, helping them settle comfortably for the night while maintaining a calm and reassuring environment. You will provide personal care with dignity and respect, assist with mobility and repositioning, support with evening meals and hydration, and ensure residents feel safe, relaxed and valued. You will follow individual care plans carefully, report any changes in wellbeing to senior staff, and work closely with the wider team to maintain high standards of care and infection control. Your role is key in ensuring residents experience a smooth and comfortable transition into the night. We welcome both experienced Care Assistants and those new to care. If you are compassionate, reliable and willing to learn, full training and support will be provided.

What We Are Looking For

  • SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care preferred or willingness to work towards
  • Previous care experience welcomed but not essential
  • A kind, patient and respectful approach
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
