Contract: Full Time • Salary: £12.21 Per Hour • Shift Type: Days • Contracted hours: 40.25
Campania is a spacious Victorian home in Weston-super-Mare, just a short walk from the seafront and pier. It provides specialist support for individuals living with mental health conditions, including Korsakoff’s syndrome and Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, with care for up to 41 residents.
Responsibilities
- As a Support Worker, play a vital role in our close-knit care team, ensuring residents receive exceptional care and support. Help them with daily routines, promote independence, and prioritize overall health and happiness.
- Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, from getting dressed to staying active, while encouraging them to make positive choices and maintain independence.
- Personalised Care: Follow and support each resident’s personalised care plan with hands-on help and attention to individual needs.
- Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
- Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident in every interaction.
- Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and staff, creating a warm environment.
- Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe living spaces and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
- Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need help with eating and drinking, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Spread Smiles: Bring joy to residents’ lives each day.

About You
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
- Experience: Ideally, at least 6 months as a Care Assistant, but transferable care experience is welcome.
