Raemoir Manor Care Home is a brand new, purpose built care home in Banchory, opening in Summer 2026. The home will provide residential, dementia, nursing and respite care within a modern, well designed environment, offering a unique opportunity to join a new team and help shape the service from the outset.
Contract: £14.50 per hour, contracted to 40 hours per week, working over 5 days with on call requirements. Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided. 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract).
Role Overview: Joining a brand new care home from the very beginning offers a genuinely exciting opportunity to help shape the environment, standards and day to day operations as the service develops. As Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the home is safe, well maintained and fully operational while contributing towards a positive and professional environment for residents, visitors and colleagues.
As Maintenance Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the upkeep, safety and presentation of the home, ensuring all building systems, equipment and environments are maintained to a high standard. This is a key leadership role where your organisation, technical knowledge and proactive approach will directly impact safety, compliance and daily experience.
You will oversee all maintenance activities across the building and grounds, including planned maintenance, reactive repairs and improvement projects. You will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with health and safety and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with the Home Manager and wider team, you will manage maintenance priorities, coordinate contractors where required and ensure a well organised, safe and fully functional environment at all times.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role
- Experience managing maintenance operations or projects
- Good knowledge of general building, electrical and repair work
- Strong organisational and problem solving skills
- Understanding of health and safety and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage workload, priorities and external contractors
- A proactive and reliable approach
