Windyhall Care Home is a luxurious Victorian residence located in the heart of Ayr, offering elegant surroundings and a warm, homely atmosphere. We provide care and accommodation for up to 29 residents, with a strong focus on comfort, dignity, and personalised support. As Clinical Deputy Manager (RGN/RMN), you will be contracted to 40 hours per week at a rate of £24.77 per hour. Benefits include paid PVG, pension, uniform provided, 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract), paid NMC fees, ongoing training, clinical development, and clear progression into Home Manager roles, supported by experienced senior leadership and regional teams within a well-structured and high-performing environment.

You will play a pivotal role in the leadership and performance of the home, working in close partnership with the Home Manager to drive clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality care delivery. You will lead on all aspects of clinical governance, care planning, medication management, and risk, ensuring care is safe, effective, and person-centred. You will monitor performance, carry out audits, support inspections, and take ownership of continuous improvement, ensuring the home operates in line with regulatory and organisational standards.

You will provide visible, hands-on leadership to the nursing and care teams, supporting, mentoring, and developing staff to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience within a care setting
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
