Cedar Lodge Care Home is a well established service in Taunton, Somerset, providing specialist dementia, palliative and respite care for up to 39 residents, alongside The Limes, a dedicated mental health community supporting a further 15 individuals. Set in a peaceful location, the home offers a welcoming, supportive environment with a strong focus on personalised care, dignity and wellbeing across both services.
As an Activities Assistant, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs. You will plan and deliver engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction. Activities will be tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs, including those who may require a more structured or sensitive approach to engagement. Building positive relationships is essential, helping you understand individual preferences, behaviours and communication styles to support inclusive participation. You will create a calm, supportive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, confident and connected. Working closely with the wider team, you will contribute to a consistent and supportive environment, adapting activities where required and responding appropriately to changes in mood, behaviour or wellbeing.
