Role
Position: Activities Assistant
What You’ll Be Doing
- Help plan and deliver a full calendar of meaningful activities – from craft sessions and music afternoons to gentle exercise, reminiscence therapy and one-to-one chats over a cuppa
- Help organise trips, liaise with local entertainers and visiting animals, and bring fresh ideas to keep things fun, inclusive and person-centred
- Deliver both group events and 1:1 sessions based on individual interests and abilities
- Build positive relationships with residents, getting to know their likes and dislikes
- Encourage participation and promote independence where possible
- Take photos of events for families, newsletters and social media updates
- Support with social media content and liaise with the marketing team
- Reach out to local performers, volunteers and organisations to enhance the activity schedule
- Work flexibly as part of the wider team, with availability to work some weekends
