Silverleigh is a beautiful care home situated on a quiet street in the centre of Axminster, Devon. Home to 65 residents, we provide expert Residential, Nursing, and Dementia care in a supportive and vibrant environment where residents are truly at the heart of everything we do. The home was recently inspected by CQC, and they received a 'GOOD' rating.
We are now looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to join our compassionate care team. If you are naturally kind, reliable, and committed to making a positive difference in people's lives, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow and thrive in a values-led care setting.
What We Offer
- £12.21 – £13.20 per hour (increases with NVQ qualifications)

What You Will Do
As a Care Assistant, you will support residents with their daily routines, encourage independence, and contribute to their overall wellbeing and happiness. From assisting with personal care to creating a warm and sociable environment, your kindness and dedication will bring comfort and joy to those we care for. You will work closely with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised, dignified care is delivered at all times.
What We Are Looking For
- Ideally NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- 6 months of care experience preferred, but not essential – we welcome applicants with transferable skills and the right attitude
- A genuine passion for elderly care
- A caring, respectful approach and strong sense of teamwork
