Our newly built care home is based in the charming suburb of Pinhoe, Exeter. We offer exceptional standards of Nursing, Residential, Dementia and Respite care for 67 residents.
- £25.00 per hour
- Contracted to 40 hours per week
- Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
- Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear progression into Deputy Manager and Home Manager roles, within a well led, structured environment where your leadership and clinical expertise are recognised and developed.
Role Overview
As Clinical Lead Nurse, you will support the Home Manager in the clinical and operational oversight of the service, ensuring high standards of care are delivered consistently and safely. This is a senior nursing role where your clinical expertise and leadership will directly influence the quality, safety and effectiveness of care across the home. You will provide clinical leadership to the nursing and care teams, ensuring care is delivered in line with individual care plans, best practice and regulatory standards. You will oversee clinical practice, support complex decision making, monitor outcomes and ensure safe medication management and effective care delivery at all times. Working closely with residents, families and multi-disciplinary teams, you will promote a person-centred approach while driving continuous improvement. You will also play a key role in supporting, mentoring and developing staff, ensuring a confident, capable and well-supported team. This position will require the successful candidate to work alternate weekends. The hours will be a mixture of supernumerary hours and being present on the floor as the business needs.
What We Are Looking For
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN
- Strong clinical leadership and decision making skills
- Experience leading or supporting a nursing team
- Confidence overseeing clinical practice and standards
- Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
