About Us
This brand-new service will become part of Care Concern Group – a successful, family-owned care provider with a proud track record of delivering exceptional care across the UK. With over 100-care homes nationwide, we’re a growing and ambitious organisation, driven by a simple but powerful purpose: to enrich the lives of those we care for.
Our Story in Scotland
In Scotland, Care Concern Group operates 67 care homes, one day care centre, and three complex care services – making us the largest care provider in the country.
Our growth has been carefully planned and successfully executed, with 10 new homes commissioned across Scotland in recent years, and a further five due to open within the next 12 months. But for us, size is nothing without quality: our inspection grades consistently outperform national averages by 10%, a reflection of our unwavering focus on clinical excellence and compassionate care. Importantly, there are currently no Home Manager vacancies in our Northern region – a powerful testament to our strong leadership, culture, and support systems.
About the Region You’ll Be Joining
You’ll be joining a highly stable region that encompasses nine care homes with over 600 beds. This team is built on consistency, with zero Home Manager vacancies and exceptionally low agency reliance – agency staff account for just 2% of total working hours across the region.
Every home here is graded 4 or above by the Care Inspectorate, reflecting the high standards we maintain across clinical care, operations, and resident satisfaction.
You won’t be starting from scratch; you’ll have the full support of an experienced commissioning team who have already successfully delivered services such as Mearns View Care Home and Boclair Care Home. You’ll be surrounded by people who know exactly what it takes to launch a home that thrives from day one.
Your Key Responsibilities
As Commissioning Home Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the home’s success, from pre-opening preparation to full occupancy and beyond. You’ll develop and implement a targeted local marketing strategy to build the home’s reputation and attract residents, while recruiting and developing a cohesive, values-led team that minimises reliance on agency staff. Financially astute, you’ll manage budgets effectively to ensure commercial success, with a particular focus on attracting private residents while never compromising care standards. You’ll oversee the full regulatory registration process, embed robust HR, training, and governance systems, and foster a warm, inclusive culture that reflects our five core values:
Trust, Respect, Passion, Kindness, and Inclusivity.
What We’re Looking For
We’re not necessarily looking for someone with prior commissioning experience. You’ll be fully supported by a dedicated and highly experienced senior leadership team who have successfully opened numerous care homes across the group. What matters most is your leadership, expertise, and passion for care.
You’ll need
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a successful Home Manager
- NMC registration (RGN or RMN) is desirable
- Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of driving occupancy and maintaining a focus on private residents
- A deep passion for delivering high-quality care, coupled with the ability to inspire and lead from the front
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory compliance and governance
- A calm, collaborative leadership style with outstanding people skills
If you’re an ambitious Home Manager who thrives on setting new standards, inspiring others, and leading with integrity, this is your chance to build something remarkable in Glasgow — a home where care is not just delivered, but truly celebrated.
