We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join the support team of a young man with a brain injury living with his family in the Dewsbury area.
Details
- Hours: 20 hours per week
- Contract: Permanent
- Salary: Β£13.46 per hour weekdays / Β£14.49 per hour weekends
- Shifts: 2 x 10 hour shifts per week 8.00am - 6.00pm on a rota basis, including every other Saturday
The Support Worker Role
Support and contribute towards the planning and delivery of individual care, supporting in all aspects of daily living, as our client has physical, sensory & cognitive disabilities and is wheelchair dependent. This position will come with a degree of flexible working to support the pursuit of interests in live music, extra shifts and the cover of staff sickness and annual leave. Work with a treatment team of therapists (SALT, Physiotherapist & Occupational Therapist) to complete therapy programmes, motivate & engage the client in recreational & educational activities. Experience in delivering therapy programmes is desirable but full training will be provided.
