Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

Every day as a domiciliary Care Assistant is different, but your impact is always the same – life‑changing. You’ll support people to stay independent in their own homes and be a trusted part of a close‑knit, local team.

You’ll help with:

  • Providing personal care with dignity and respect – bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming
  • Assisting with medication – preparation and administration
  • Helping with mobility – and using aids/equipment safely
  • Preparing meals/snacks – and offering mealtime support
  • Carrying out light domestic duties – laundry, making beds, light cleaning
  • Offering companionship and reassurance – building meaningful relationships
  • Encourage social engagement and family connections
  • Monitor health and report any changes to healthcare professionals and family
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
  • Respond to emergencies safely and effectively
  • Work collaboratively with families and the wider care team

  • Driving requirement: a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role to travel between your local clients.
