Important note: This application form is specifically for clinicians who want to join The Centre for ADHD Research & Excellence as a self-employed Prescriber, and are able to attend our in-person training and sign-off in January, February and March 2026 in Canary Wharf!
Successful candidates will:
- Submit all the required documentation (including DBS, professional registration, references, indemnity insurance)
- Join 2 remote Care ADHD training sessions before the event
- Come to our Canary Wharf office to complete the in-person training, and deliver your first (fully supervised) titration clinic
The event will include a breakfast meet and greet, complimentary lunch and an opportunity to network with peers and colleagues from Care ADHD and Cresco Clinic.
After successful completion of the training, and sign-off following the delivery of your first supervised titration clinic, your application for a CD Pin will be processed and you’ll spend a couple of weeks familiarising yourself with our systems by supporting in our Clinical Care Hub whilst you await the arrival of your CD Pin. Once your PIN arrives, your prescription pads will be issued and you’ll start delivering clinics.
You will be well supported after sign-off by our Clinical and Associate Experience teams, and you will benefit from ongoing supervision and training opportunities through our MDTs and Clinical Supervision structure.
At the Cresco Clinic (part of The Centre for ADHD Research & Excellence), we’re revolutionising ADHD care by making assessments and treatment more accessible for everyone. With an established Adult Pathway already in place, we are excited to extend our services to Children and Young People (CYP).
What we are looking for?
We are looking for dedicated and meticulous Self-Employed CYP ADHD Prescriber to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to join a brand new service right at the point of launching - with the security of an already successful and rapidly scaling adult service behind it.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Initiate the titration pathway for children and young people who have received a positive ADHD diagnosis and have chosen to start treatment. Triage, set treatment goals, and issue the patient’s first prescription.
- Monitor patient progress and compliance with ADHD treatment. Review ADHD monitoring forms to ensure treatment is being taken safely and adverse effects are identified and responded to in a timely manner.
- Prescribe ADHD prescriptions in accordance with NICE guidelines and Cresco Clinic process and procedures.
- Conduct treatment reviews with individualised recommendations for treatment plans based on your findings.
- Collaborate with other members of the clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure a seamless experience for our patients and their guardians.
- Provide expert guidance and support to children and young people and their guardians throughout the titration journey, ensuring they feel understood and valued.
- Staying current with ADHD research and best practices, integrating this knowledge into your assessments and patient interactions.
- Support the preparation and submission of clinic letters and shared care requests to GPs on behalf of the patient and their guardians, following Cresco Clinic process and procedures as part of the Titration process.
Contractor Payment Rates:
- £37 per 30 minute medication clinic
- £74 per 60 minute medication clinic
To thrive in this role you’ll need to:
- Be a Registered Children’s Nurse, Registered Mental Health Nurse or a Registered Pharmacist (GPhC) with appropriate entry on the NMC register or GPhC register.
- Hold a V300 or Independent Prescribing qualification.
- Educated to degree level or above.
- Must have Clinical experience in CYP ADHD or CYP mental health with strong knowledge of ADHD medications and treatment protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and provide compassionate support.
- The ability to manage own clinic time efficiently while working remotely.
