What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Partner with the Clinical Director – CYP to deliver CARE ADHD’s Quality Strategy
  • Lead clinical quality improvement initiatives, translating audit, feedback, and incident data into meaningful change
  • Provide leadership on safeguarding, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure clinical pathways align with national guidance and best practice, including standards set by National Institute for Health and Care Excellence
  • Support organisational readiness for inspection by the Care Quality Commission, including audits, evidence gathering, and improvement planning
  • Identify, elevate, and manage clinical risks, contributing to risk registers and mitigation plans
  • Lead the development and implementation of outcome measurement frameworks, and represent CARE ADHD in relevant quality networks or accreditation programmes
  • Provide expert clinical input on complex and high‑risk ADHD cases in children and young people
  • Hold a small case load of complex cases
  • Support delivery of peer supervision, MDT discussions, and ongoing clinician development
  • Lead onboarding and support for new assessors and prescribers
  • Contribute to the development, delivery and maintenance of clinical competency frameworks
  • Respond to patient feedback, incidents, and complaints in collaboration with the Quality & Safety team
  • Drive service improvement through analysis of clinical data, patient outcomes, and clinician feedback
  • Contribute to clinical governance meetings, policy development, and research activity
  • Deliver teaching and training on ADHD assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Work collaboratively with Operations and Quality & Safety teams to enhance safety, efficiency, and patient experience
  • Support the safe and effective use of digital clinical systems and platforms
  • Participate in on‑call support for urgent clinical escalations

To thrive in this role you’ll need to:

Essential Criteria:

  • Registered clinician with a prescribing qualification (medical or non‑medical prescriber)
  • Significant experience in the assessment and treatment of ADHD in children and young people (CYP)
  • Demonstrable experience in clinical leadership, supervision, and clinical governance
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding frameworks and regulatory requirements within healthcare services
  • Experience of quality improvement, audit, and service development
  • Ability to interpret, analyse, and act on clinical and quality data to drive improvement
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills, with the ability to influence and support multidisciplinary teams
  • High level of digital literacy, with confidence using clinical systems and adopting new technologies
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, person‑centred care

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in leading ADHD assessment and/or treatment services
  • Experience working within, or preparing services for, inspection by the Care Quality Commission
  • Familiarity with national clinical guidance, including National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines
  • Experience contributing to outcome measurement frameworks or service evaluation
  • Involvement in quality networks or accreditation programmes
  • Experience in delivering teaching, training, or developing clinical competency frameworks
  • Interest in research, innovation, or digital health solutions
